In Moscow, the publisher of the Opposition newspaper Listov from the Altai Republic Sergey Mikhailov was detained. This was reported by the Republican Glavk of the Investigative Committee.

Mikhailov is suspected of publicly disseminating the deliberately false information about the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, committed based on political hatred (paragraph d of part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

“According to preliminary data, in March and April 2022, Mikhailov on the Internet and in the printed publication published a number of records in which, under the guise of reliable messages, he contained knowingly false information about the goals, objectives and procedure for conducting a special military operation by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation The territory of Ukraine, thereby publicly discredited state authorities and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, ”the department said.

The searches were held at the place of residence of the “suspect and his accomplices in several regions”, as well as in the office of the editorial office in Gorno-Altaysk.

As the founder of the “List” Sergei Mikhailov told RBC, the protocol was drawn up for an inappropriate person, since the director of the LLC does not determine the editorial policy.
