HSK (or Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (汉语水平考试)) – This is an international standardized Chinese language (Putonghua) qualification exam for non-native Chinese speakers – foreigners, Chinese immigrants, representatives of national minorities.

The results of the HSK exam are recognized all over the world.

HSK is, in fact, TOEFL in Chinese. The HSK certificate is a necessary document when applying for an internship, admission to a Chinese university, and employment.

A written exam HSK (or Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (汉语水平考试)) subdivided into levels 1-6:

  • HSK level 1. The obligatory minimum vocabulary of the examinees is 150 words. The exam consists of listening and reading, includes 40 tasks: listen / read the sentence, indicate the picture that makes sense, fill in the gaps, choose the correct options. Listening tasks are repeated twice. The time allotted for answers is 40 minutes. Passing score: 120 out of 200.
  • HSK level 2. The obligatory minimum vocabulary of examinees is 300 words. The exam consists of listening and reading, includes 60 tasks: determine the meaning of a phrase or dialogue, choose the correct answer, fill in the gaps. Listening tasks are repeated once. The time allotted for answers is 55 minutes. Passing score: 120 out of 200.
  • HSK level 3. The obligatory minimum vocabulary of the examinees is 600 words. The exam consists of listening, reading and writing and includes 80 tasks: determine the meaning of a phrase or dialogue, choose the correct answer, make sentences and fill in the gaps. Listening tasks are repeated twice. The time allotted for answers is 90 minutes. Passing score: 180 out of 300.
  • HSK level 4. The obligatory minimum vocabulary of the examinees is 1200 words. The exam consists of listening, reading and writing and includes 100 tasks: determine the meaning of a phrase or dialogue, choose the correct answer, make sentences and fill in the gaps. Listening tasks are not repeated. The time allotted for answers is 105 minutes. Passing score: 180 out of 300.
  • HSK level 5. The required vocabulary for examinees is 2500 words. The exam consists of listening, reading and writing and includes 100 tasks: there are proper names, scientific terms, in the written part it is necessary to compose and write a text according to the picture and the proposed hieroglyphs. Listening tasks are not repeated. The time allotted for answers is 125 minutes. Passing score: 180 out of 300.
  • HSK level 6. The obligatory minimum vocabulary of examinees is 5000 words.The exam consists of listening, reading and writing and includes 101 tasks. In the written part, it is necessary to write a statement of the text. Auditation tasks are not repeated. The time allotted for answers is 140 minutes. Passing point: 180 out of 300.

Oral exam HSKK (汉语 水平 口语 考试) It is divided into initial, middle and highest levels:

  • First level. The obligatory minimum of the examiners is 200 words. The exam consists of three parts: repetition sentences, answers to oral questions, answers to written questions. Exam time is 20 minutes. Passing point: 60 out of 100.
  • Middle level. Mandatory minimum of the examiners – 900 words. The exam consists of three parts: a sentence for repetition, description of the picture, answers to questions. Exam time is 23 minutes. Passing point: 60 out of 100.
  • High level. Mandatory minimum of the examiners – 3000 words. The exam consists of three parts: a sentence for repetition, reading aloud, answers to questions. Exam time is 25 minutes. Passing point: 60 out of 100.

Only pre -registered candidates who paid for the exam (s) are allowed to participate. The registration procedure is online on the website www.chinesetest.cn. The party conducting the exam (s) informs of the methods of payment.

A month after the exam (OV) in your personal account on the website www.chinesetest.cn, electronic results are available. Paper certificates come to the venue venue (OV) After 2 months.

The certificate has no validity period (received once, it does not require confirmation after), however, to participate in various internship programs, etc. A certificate is often required not older than 2 years.

RIKK BSU annually conducts HSK and HSKK exams in December and May.
