Krasnoyarsk Territory transfers key state information systems to Russian OS Alt | Basealt

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the next stage of transferring state digital resources to the Alt operating systems has successfully completed. Under its management, the Yenisei-SED state information system is now working, which provides document management in the executive authorities and state institutions of the region and the city. Next in line is the migration on the Alt OS of the regional system of interagency electronic interaction Yenisei-Gu.

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the next stage of transferring state digital resources to the Alt operating systems has successfully completed. Under its management, the Yenisei-SED state information system is now working, which provides document management in the executive authorities and state institutions of the region and the city. Next in line is the migration on the Alt OS of the regional system of interagency electronic interaction Yenisei-Gu. This project is already in full swing.

The project of the transition to Russian OS Alt is part of the events of regional projects Information Security and Digital Public Administration in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. These projects provide for the predominant use of domestic software in the state structures of the region. Krasnoyarsk Territory is one of the most industrialized supporting regions of Russia. It is included in the cohort of leaders among Russian subjects for the most important macroeconomic indicators: the population, gross regional product (GRP). The key sectors of the regional economy play a significant role not only at the state, but also at the world level. Therefore, there, special attention is paid to the construction of a technologically independent digital infrastructure with a high level of protection. To create it in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, domestic software products were chosen, which passed the test of time and highly appreciated users.

Krasnoyarsk Territory – the largest in Russia

Operating systems of the Alt family for servers, workstations, virtual and cloud media are used to build a technologically independent digital environment. They work on nine hardware platforms, including the main Russian and most popular foreign ones. Hundreds of applied programs included in the Unified Register of Russian Software are compatible with OS Alt. These operating systems are developing on the basis of the Russian technologically independent repository Sisyph, one of the world's largest repositories of free software.

“The tasks of digital transformation should be solved in inextricable connection with the tasks of ensuring information security, – emphasized Sergey Transdin, General Director of Basalt SPO. — It is this approach that is practiced by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, carrying out a project to transfer digital resources to Russian operating systems with a high level of protection. It is important to note that the IT specialists of the ministry took care of ensuring the compatibility of regional state systems with OS Alt. Thus, they not only ensured the technological independence of the IT infrastructure subordinate to them, but also opened the opportunity to use Russian OS to all organizations and individuals without artificial restrictions on the channels of interaction with the state ”.

Methodological and technical support to the regional authorities will provide a center for competencies on the implementation and operation of Russian software. It was created as part of an agreement on the cooperation of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Territory and Basalt SPO and works on the basis of the Center for Information Technologies of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
