A video of the dead birds has surfaced on social media. The press service of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources reported that information about the death of five flamingos in the Beineu region was received on April 24.

– Representatives of law enforcement agencies, the territorial inspection of forestry and wildlife of the State Enterprise PA Okhotzooprom , the Samsky forest institution of the akimat of the Beineu district left for the place. According to government decree, flamingos are included in the list of rare and endangered species of plants and animals. For committing illegal hunting for flamingos, imprisonment of up to seven years is provided, the report says.

It also provides for damages in the amount of 400 MCI – 1.2 million tenge.
