At the same time, with all her spontaneity, she urged to ask any, even the strangest, questions.
First of all, she shared the history of her arrival in great sport. Recall that Kristina’s mother is Anfisa Reztsov, the legend of Soviet and Russian sports, a unique athlete who managed to win Olympic gold both in ski races (in 1988) and in biathlon (in 1992 and 1994). And the father of the biathletes Leonid Zzovsov, not only himself was a successful athlete, but later became the honored coach of Russia in Biathlon.

– I came to Biathlon as a child, like you, at the age of 14. Before that, I was engaged in ski races at a sports school, I had no time for some superuspects then. As a result, I went all the way that you, I hope, still have to go. This path is not very easy. I want to tell you that, whatever the results you have now, everyone should strive for their dream. You should have a goal, no matter what, move towards it. As I went in due time and now I continue to move, because, I am sure that I still have where to grow, – Kristina Reztsova began communication.

The biathlon star said that in childhood she was fond of gymnastics, taekwondo, sports dancing, even managed to win the Russian chivalding championship. But in the end, it was not to leave fate.

– Dad, like a shooting coach, always called me to shoot from a pneumatic rifle in a shooting gallery. I liked it. And when I ran skiing for six years, I wanted to try myself in the biathlon.

She added that she still maintains contact with his first coach Leonid Tyakishev and is very grateful to him for everything that he taught her at the initial stage of his career development.

“He made the biggest contribution so that I could realize myself.” All initial skills are the merit of Leonid Konstantinovich.

Naturally, there was a question about emotions after a successful performance at the Olympic Games in February this year. Christina admitted that, first of all, she is satisfied that all the preparatory work was not done in vain.

– The Olympic medal is such a reward for all your work, it is more than just a medal. This is such an exhalation, the result of your path in sports. Therefore, it is even impossible to convey everything that I feel after such a result, – said Kristina Reztsova.

Feel at home in Ugra
In a conversation with a Novosti Yugra correspondent, Kristina admitted that she always comes to the region she represents with pleasure. Recall that she was born in Moscow, but for eight years she has been representing Yugra at international and Russian competitions.
“I came here in a great mood. I love Khanty-Mansiysk very much, I feel at home here. Still, I have been running for the district for almost ten years. Today I rode, and although there is not much snow anymore, the track is perfect. I am charged with emotions from my native region, from people. Everyone is so friendly and smiling. How many times I have been here at competitions, there are always full stands here, from which you get a charge of emotions. When I speak at home track, it's an indescribable feeling. Fans come to the stadium in Tyumen, where we recently performed, and in Ufa. But when you come home, everything here is your own, dear, and you somehow treat people in a special way, like relatives. I am grateful to everyone who comes to watch our performances, they create such a bright atmosphere at the competitions here in Khanty-Mansiysk.

“The end of the season was good. Completely satisfied with them. Now there will be a short break, I will take care of personal matters. And there is very little time left until the next season. So preparations will start soon.

– Each athlete has a difficult path to the result, especially when it comes to Olympic awards, victories at world championships. There are many secrets. But I don't even know what to call it. There are no small things, there is nothing specific. In sports, there is no such thing as something that comes easy.

– It turned out to be a very busy season, and in an interview after the races you admitted that you missed your family, your child. Did you manage to spend time with your family after the Olympics?

– When we arrived from Beijing, there was an opportunity to devote more time to the family. After the Olympics, I felt that my body was emasculated, but my daughter and husband energized me. Although this, of course, is still not enough. Now, when I come home after the end of the season, I will give this time to my family as much as possible. And in the next I plan that I will go to training camps and competitions with my daughter.

– You returned to training just six months after giving birth and, as a result, spent your best season in your career.

“I don’t even know what the phenomenon is here. Simply, in my opinion, after the birth of a child, my thinking, worldview, attitude to the training process, to competitions, to results have changed a lot.Calmness appeared, a feeling of satisfaction from the process itself. There was a reassessment of values. I felt that it was possible to enjoy training, racing, shooting, high and at the same time conquer medals.

Instead of the afterword
On February 5, Kristina Reztsova first became a mother. This joyful event forced the athlete to miss the last season. However, after the return of Christina, unexpectedly for many, she reached the first roles in the Russian team, leading the RAS rating and becoming the best among the Russians following the results of the performances at the stages of the World Cup. Finally, this year the main achievement of Yugorski was silver and bronze at the Olympic Games in Beijing, which erected it to the rank of the main stars of the world biathlon.
In early April, Kristina Reztsova, as part of the Ugra national team, participated in the Russian championship in Tyumen, where she won gold in the mass start and women's relay, as well as bronze in the mixture. In addition, she finished in the first place in the season in the ranking of the Union of Biathlonists of Russia.
