Compared to last season (when the Penza club took 9th place in the Center zone) for the University of Vizit the result-a step forward, but the head coach of the team Alexander Ganin considers him unsuccessful because it failed to cope with the main task And to compete for the medals: “Certain circumstances contributed to this – both objective and subjective. In January there was a tour in Ryazan, where we, together, lost three out of four matches. And then a tour in late February – early March in Izhevsk. There, in order to complete the task, one victory in four games was practically enough for us: either over the hostess, or over the team from Bryansk, which practically lost its chances for fourth place. But we lost in all four matches. It was absurd somehow everything turned out before the Izhevsk tour. It was our turn to go into quarantine due to the coronavirus, as a result of which the full-fledged training process was disrupted. Plus, the ridiculous injury that Valeria Filkova, one of our leaders, received. On top of that, literally on the eve of our departure, we were forced to part ways with one more player.”

In an interview with the Penza-Press portal, Alexander Ganin also emphasized that the serious changes in the team that took place during the off-season were justified: “These changes for promotion were suggested and necessary. As I said earlier, we attracted those who, in our opinion, could really improve the game, with whom it was possible to solve quite serious problems. Well, those who we could count on throughout the season, without dividing the team into home and away models. And, despite the unfortunate outcome for us, I believe that the changes were justified.”
